Tina and Joe Simpson Step Out Separately After Divorce News. On Sunday, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson 's mom was photographed out and about in Los Angeles -- the first timeshe's been spotted since she and husband Joe announced their divorce after 35 years of marriage.

The grandmother to Ashlee's son Bronx, 3, and Jessica's daughter Maxwell, 6 months, looked serene and giggly as she grabbed lunch with pals.

"Papa Joe," meanwhile, hit the links one day earlier -- playing a round a golf with a group friends in Los Angeles, and sporting a close-cropped new haircut.

Confirming a divorce filing to Us Weekly last Wednesday Oct. 24, a Simpson family rep said, ?It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved.  Any other related allegations are completely false."

The couple put their family's Encino, Calif. estate on the market last month for $4.3 million.

54-year-old Joe, longtime manager for both of his daughters, had a challenging summer leading up to the split: He was arrested in August for driving under the influence.

"Joe's arrest shocked his family," a source told Us.
